There’s no doubt we can be firm in collecting money, but we’re equally good at giving!
The staff of Tasmanian Collection Service have been actively fundraising for charities since 2000. If you visit our office on a Friday, you will see that we ‘dress down’ for the day in exchange for a gold coin donation. We participate in other fundraising events such as quiz nights, morning teas, raffles, and all so that we can support local charities.
We have donated in excess of $60,000 to charities and in recent years have supported charities such as Cancer Council of Tasmania, Speak Up Stay ChatTY, Ronald McDonald House, Hobart Men’s & Women’s Shelter and The Salvation Army.
For the past two years TCS has entered the City of Hobart Christmas Window Competition and won! Our nominated charity was Colony 47 Community Christmas Lunch. Thanks to our contribution of $3000 for both years, Colony 47 and their team of volunteers have been able to provide a wonderful Christmas experience for those who would not otherwise be able to celebrate the occasion.
